we’ve been through this, and now we’ve got the same shit happening all over again. refugee homes being set on fire, people breaking into them with knives, molotov cocktails thrown into windows, those are all things that happened over the last few weeks, just like they did 20 years ago.
don’t.
don’t.
seriously, in case ANYONE missed what’s going down here
here’s a few things from the last few weeks
meißen: arson attack on soon-to-be refugee housing.
tröglitz: arson attack on new refugee housing. a 50year old woman and a 52year old man already living in the building could save themselves after being warned by a neighbour.
weissach: arson attack on soon-to-be refugee housing.
salzhemmendorf: molotov cocktail thrown into already inhabited refugee housing. the room was at the time inhabited by a zimbabwean woman and her two children, who THANKFULLY didn’t get injured because they just happened to be in the room next door at the time and the bomb didn’t properly explode.
this shit is happening. this same shit is happening all over again, and we’re getting more and more news of arson attacks, people breaking into these buildings, violent racist protests etc EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
a large amount of people over here are trying to be as welcoming and helpful as they can and openly opposing these racist attacks, but the violence is growing and something needs to happen asap before we end up with a body count AGAIN.
remember this -
victims of Solingen 1993:
Gürsün İnce, 27 years old
Hatice Genç, 18 years old
Gülüstan Öztürk, 12 years old
Hülya Genç, 9 years old
Saime Genç, 4 years old
Gürsün and Saime died after Gürsün tried to jump from a window with Saime in her arms. A six month old baby, a three-year old child, and a 15year-old boy who since had to undergo 30 surgeries were hospitalized with life threatening injuries. 14 more family members were injured.
victims of Mölln 1992:
Yeliz Arslan, 10 years old
Ayse Yilmaz, 14 years old
Bahide Arslan, 51 years old, their grandmother
9 more people injured
Bahide Arslan was the first to notice the fire and started running around the house, wrapping other family members in wet bedsheets and trying to get them to safety. On her way to wake up Yeliz and Ayse, she tripped, fell, couldn’t get back up, and died in the fire, unable to save Yeliz and Ayse.
remember these people. remember them, and stop this madness before someone else has to die.
